A roundtrip ticket to Innsbruck -- perfect for alpine and cross-country skiers alike -- will set you back 280 euros ($410). A special web fare of 198 euros for a return ticket applies to flights to Munich, which has great access to the ski resorts of Obersdorf and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. All prices quoted are before tax. Ski equipment of up to 20 kilograms is transported free of charge. A new web fare of 600 rubles ($25) each way has also been introduced between Moscow and St. Petersburg. Tickets can be bought online at www.s7.ru.

Aeroflot has a number of special offers on flights to Europe, the United States and Canada. A roundtrip ticket to Vienna costs 126 euros until the end of March. Flights to London or Toronto and back in the same period can be purchased for 149 euros and 499 euros, respectively, if booked before Feb. 5. A roundtrip to New York in February or March will set you back 379 euros -- the offer ends Jan. 31. All tickets can be booked online, and prices do not include taxes. Transaero is having a sale that lasts until Feb.5. Flights for the period until March 29 can be booked at reduced rates. Roundtrip tickets to Berlin and Frankfurt can be purchased for 109 euros, to Tel Aviv for 210 euros and to Shanghai for 369 euros, taxes not included.
