The Moscow Times and International Herald Tribune Subscription campaign 2009

The newspapers The Moscow Times and the International Herald Tribune have started their subscription drive 2009. It is ongoing under the logo “News from different perspectives”. The Moscow Times presents news about Russia from Russia, while International Herald Tribune highlights important events on the world arena from abroad.

Subscribe now to the two-newspaper package solution and receive a 20% discount. For new subscribers there is an additional present – a handy thermal mug. Along with the corporate subscription drive, a joint advertising campaign with Interposhta is starting.

How to get The Moscow Times on your mobile?

Please note that this service is not compatible with all phones. Please check the list of supported mobile phones and smartphones.

To download The Moscow Times you should make sure you have pre-installed GPRS Internet adjustments by checking the internet profile availability on your phone:

  • MTS Internet – for MTS subscribers
  • Bee-gprs-internet – for Beeline subscribers
  • MegaFon Internet – for Megafon subscribers

If one of the profiles is shown, then the following instructions should be performed:

  1. Send an SMS-message with the text «TMT» to the short number 4040
  2. Receive an SMS answer with a reference to download «The Moscow Times» application
  3. Go through the reference, and install the application onto your mobile phone
  4. Open the application in your mobile phone
  5. Choose the «Update» option
  6. If the access point is requested select the profile MTS Internet (for MTS subscribers), Bee-gprs-internet (for Beeline subscribers) or MegaFon Internet (for Megafon subscribers).

If the corresponding profile is not shown on the mobile phone it can be received by calling the customer care department with the short number 0890 (for MTS subscribers), 0611 (for Beeline subscribers) or 500 (for Megafon subscribers). After receiving and installing the automatic adjustments, the phone should be switched off/on for adjustment activation and the above steps 1-6 should be performed.

If the application «The Moscow Times» has been installed and updated using WAP Internet, it is essential to remove the adjustments, install the corresponding Internet GPRS adjustments and start the «The Moscow Times application» again. Once the «The Moscow Times» application has been updated, other WAP adjustments can be added without impact on «The Moscow Times» application.

Note that mobile operators do not allow updating with WAP adjustments.
